Dear friends, after having dealt with the situation beach and marina, I feel obliged to express my opinion on the situation of the villages of Maiori.
last decade, our Administration has "care" for the more central areas of the country, completely forgetting of the importance of the surroundings. Maiori boasts five reality far from the city center, one of which is farthest from the center of life Maiori. Each of these villages has its own characteristics, and it is upon these that bison aim to develop and make these posts venues: S. Peter with its lovely square and the road leading to Castle St. Nicola de Thoroplano must be able to host events and pathways that lead to knowledge of the hidden beauties, such as the Castle; S. Maria delle Grazie with small soccer field and the square, must be a meeting place for children; Vecite is fortunate to have within it, to the public land, a beautiful natural location, the which enjoys the presence of a rare species of fern and would be a great jogging path for nature lovers, in addition to this path, there is also the pitch just restructured, which could be used for provincial and regional soccer tournaments; Ponteprimario , in my opinion, could be the latest "glue" between the maritime traditions of Maiori and traditions of the nearby Sunset, hosting events that may act as a reminder for those who love mountains and the sea at the same time. Of course, each of these villages has churches that are real art treasures. A common point for each of these fractions is the river Reghinna Major, who, especially in the areas Ponteprimario, Vecite, demesne and S. Maria delle Grazie, it is in a critical situation, therefore, needs a real cleaning up the mouth, this could involve the City of Sunset, for seriously consider the cleaner solution.
Another fraction is Erchie . Because of its remoteness from the city center, is often left to herself, as we have seen in this summer, when it was completely overrun by waste.
Our "careful and judicious" directors may not have realized that Erchie with all its features, you may be able to bring Maiori to high levels in terms of tourism, in the serenity of the place, the square, the small the beach and the sea always crystal clear, so you can do to make it a little gem, set in the territory of Maiori. Another important thing for all fractions and video surveillance to ensure the public safety. Finally, my purpose for any part of Maiori, is to establish in each of them, a sort of neighborhood committee, which every six months (or four, or three), could lead to knowledge of the 'Municipal Administration, issues and proposals for housing all reality, far from the city center.
