Rash Under Arms And Around Middle

"Writetrip"

Presentation: The

Collective Ubique (artistic nucleus of Turin) in collaboration with ALL CAPS PROJECT (group of Sardinian writers) proposes " Writetrip ", an artistic element that seeks to reinvest the urban graffiti on its merits, lost during its forty years of history and evolution: travel, move, move within the urban habitat and suburban; items from the graffiti which initially seemed unbreakable, but by a series of socio-political implications they have had to leave, ending segregated on the walls of the railway line or even worse in the legality of the static city outskirts in order to defuse with a touch of color monochrome environment.
To do this we will proceed to an operation in several phases which will be aimed at the "removal" of graffiti chosen (using the techniques of the restoration) from an architectural structure into disuse (Sardinian eco monster rather than left as a ruin demolition), to secure its place in a pre-made casket, and its exposure to the public. During this exhibition there will be a collection of signatures and / or funds, in order to allow to take the graffiti off a trip back in history, to the city of New York City subway on which the movement of the writing took its first steps, and from which it started to expand like wildfire, evolving exponentially and finding relevant developments in unexpected places geographically. Once delivered, the graffiti removed, is placed in locations that will be considered more appropriate.
Another aim will be to implement an a historical analysis of the graffiti, without distorting it by a process of segregation in the exhibition spaces, but simply approcciandovisi as a work of art to be protected, and intervening on it with the usual methods of restoration today.
